Dedicated Entry Modes for Fee Configuration

Entry Mode Override for GIACT Validated Transactions

When an ACH transaction undergoes GIACT validation, the system now automatically assigns a dedicated Entry Mode value to the transaction. This enables fee configuration for ACH transactions validation via GIACT service using the standard entry mode-based fee setup.

The following entry mode values have been introduced:

  • 8000 – assigned for ACH initial validation
  • 8001 – assigned for ACH subsequent validation.
  • 8002 – assigned for connectivity issues.

Entry Mode Override for Rejected ACH Transactions

When an ACH transaction is rejected, the system now assigns a dedicated Entry Mode value based on the reject reason. This enables fee configuration based on reject reason using the standard entry mode-based fee setup.

The following entry mode values have been introduced:

  • 8004 – assigned for ACH Unauthorized Return when reject reason code is R05, R07, R10, R11, R29, or R51.
  • 8003 — assigned in all other cases.
